Well, here we are 3 days later and Ryder STILL has a fever. :( The good news is that for the first time it stayed below 101 degrees all day. I've been taking his temperature numerous times a day (to make sure it doesn't go back to 104.4) and today the highest it got was 100.3 around noon. He was a lot more active today, playing, talking, even being a little silly. Jonathan and I are finally able to relax a little after seeing a peek of our happy little guy come out today. Let me tell you, this has been a stressful weekend! We ended up going Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to the Pediatric Urgent Care on Barnes Road and each day Ryder had a high fever and had to get an antibiotic shot. Poor guy screams and cries and it tears our hearts out.
Today we started 10 days of oral antibiotics. Next, we have a follow up appointment at the end of his antibiotics to make sure everything is still good. Fingers crossed that he doesn't regress and he only gets better and better!
