- Walks on his tippy toes
- Brings us the fly swatter and walks around "hunting" flies
- Loves to eat cat food and dog food. Despite my best efforts he always seems to find a piece. When I say, "GROSS! Spit that out! We don't eat cat/dog food!" he replies with a very emphatic, "MMMMMMMM!" Ew.
- Will now ride his toy car by pushing himself with his legs forward and backward all over the house.
- Favorite Books: Moo, Baa, La la la!, Baby Einstein Animals, Cowboy Bunnies, Wild Animals, Baby's First Book of Baby Animals, Old MacDonald, Touch and Feel Tractors, really anything with animals or tractors...
- New Words: Chase (as in our dog), Bye, Cow, says "no" and "yes" by shaking/nodding his head
- Has gotten very detail-oriented. He knows where things are supposed to go/where they were before I moved them and will take them and put them back! So cute!
- Is interested in his new "big boy potty" and likes to sit on it. He looks very proud of himself when he is sitting on it. Also, he doesn't like to have his diaper on/dirty so I'm hoping that this means he will be somewhat easy to potty train. FINGERS CROSSED! :)
- Ryder is our little dipper. He has to dip all his food in some sort of sauce... barbeque sauce, salsa, ranch, sour cream, ketchup... it has to be dipped.
- Ryder loves ketchup.
- He loves his toy tools. He has watched daddy building our house from day #1 and now he wants to hammer, use a screw driver, etc. Also, he LOVES the tape measure.
- He watches football. As in, actually watches it, points at it, and talks to the TV while it is on.
- Loves the tunnel from Aunt Holly and Uncle Nathan.
- Dare I say it? Maybe, possibly, we shall see, but there is a glimmer of hope that his sleep is about to get better. I tried, again, to lay him down after he is done nursing and just leaving the room. He cried really hard for about 2 minutes, sort of cried for another 5 minutes, and then was asleep... in his crib! He had climbed out (I have the side off) and was by the door. However, he went and crawled back in to sleep! WAHOO! We successfully did this last night with him putting himself back to sleep about 4 times and me going in to nurse him and then leave 2 or 3 times (I can't remember exactly how many... I was tired...). Folks, this is a serious development in Ryder's ability to soothe himself. There may be real actual good nights in our future... but let's not get our hopes up just yet...
