Daddy Love

Jonathan's basketball schedule has really picked up and Ryder doesn't get to see Jonathan very much during the week.  Ryder really misses his daddy time and tonight he did the most adorable thing.  Ryder had a rough afternoon, a lot of tooth pain, runny nose, the whole bit.  It was about 11:00 PM and he had been asleep, woken up, and was pretty much asleep again when he heard Jonathan's foot steps.  Immediately he popped his eyes open and sat straight up to see him.  He gave him a smile and whined until Jonathan came and picked him up.  Then, he just lay there on Jonathan's shoulder, totally still, for a good 5 minutes taking in the daddy hug.  It was so precious it was hard to keep the happy tears in.  I am so thankful that Ryder has such an amazing father and that he has so much love for his dad.
