Ryder's first year at Prineville was a success! Well.... mostly a success. He had a little bit of a hard time taking naps up there so we had some meltdowns that resulted in him screaming and crying until FINALLY he would sleep. Poor guy is a routine oriented baby so the change was a little hard on him. He still slept well at night and decided on day 2 that he liked to sleep on the beach. I think the sound of the waves on the shore helped him drift off with less drama. Franklin, Elliott, and Brylee were there too and it was so cute to see them all hanging out in their beach wear. Elliott and Brylee enjoyed the water (Brylee looks like she will be a water dog) but Ryder was NOT a fan. As soon as his toes hit the water his little face scrunched up and he started wailing. It made for some funny pictures, but not a happy baby... Overall it was a very fun trip but I was definitely ready to come home and get some rest. Everyone was complementing me on my patience, and while I had plenty of that, all the crying and trying to keep my little son happy did wear me out. I was ready to catch up on sleep! I'm really looking forward to next year when we have three little 1 year olds running around!
